Tis been a long time since my last ramblings here. In the interim:

1. My laptop, wallet and organiser (i.e. pretty much my whole life!) were stolen from the boot of a locked car. Thankfully I was left with my passport and mobile phone, so could arrange to cancel all cards and get myself back to the UK. One bright spot was that it gave me an excuse to upgrade my organiser, so I'm now getting familier with my new Sony Clie T615C, which is a pretty amazing machine - I can store colour photos, movies, cool games etc on this machine. Have already managed to run out of space on the 32Mb memory stick, so am having to purchase a 128Mb one.

2. Had my mother and her partner over from New Zealand for three weeks. Amazingly, it rained only once during their stay (there was a news report about it being the driest September since 1986). We spent a few days in Cornwall, which was fantastic, especially St Ives. Being into pottery, sculpture and painting, they were keen to check out the galleries and the local art scene, and we saw plenty, both in St Ives and back in London, and we saw plenty of neat things, including the Tate St Ives, the Jerwood Applied Arts Prize entries at the Arts Council Galleries.

3. Got ready to shift house - we're moving only five minutes away, but the packing preparation is as ghastly as it ever is, this time more so as we have more stuff than ever to move *sigh*.
